Michael Adegoke and Hon. Daniel Akeni Form Strategic Alliance to Mobilize Support for Atiku and Alagbe Eleniyan

HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA / IBADAN, NIGERIA —

A significant political alliance is beginning to attract attention across the Nigerian diaspora and within the nation's political landscape as Nigerian-born Hollywood actor and entertainment executive Michael Adegoke joins forces with his longtime friend, Hon. Daniel Akeni, the ADC Diaspora Deputy Coordinator, to galvanize support for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Alagbe Eleniyan ahead of the 2027 political season.

The partnership brings together two influential figures with extensive experience in international networking, public engagement, cultural diplomacy, and grassroots mobilization. Their collaboration is expected to strengthen diaspora participation while fostering broader conversations about national development and political inclusion.

Michael Adegoke, a proud son of Orita Bashorun in Ibadan who resides in Hollywood, California, has built an exceptional career spanning entertainment, media, and event production. He is an accomplished actor, producer, mega-event host, and a five-time United States Professional Regional Latin Ballroom Showdance Champion. He also served as producer and judge on the popular Maltina Dance All television show in Nigeria, further cementing his reputation as a respected entertainment professional.

Throughout his distinguished career, Adegoke has participated in more than 300 live productions, including over 120 performances on the world-famous Las Vegas Strip. He has shared the stage with globally celebrated entertainers such as Akon, Prince, Kool & The Gang, and Lani Misalucha. Beyond the stage, he has covered and participated in more than 1,000 major red-carpet events—including the Oscars, BET Awards, and numerous Hollywood premieres—interacting with internationally acclaimed actors, musicians, filmmakers, and public figures.

The relationship between Michael Adegoke and Hon. Daniel Akeni extends far beyond politics. Their longstanding friendship has produced several landmark initiatives that have strengthened cultural and diplomatic ties between Nigeria and the United States.

One of their most notable achievements came in 2017 when they played a leading role in facilitating the historic visit of the Ooni of Ife to Hollywood. The royal delegation, which included ten distinguished traditional rulers and twenty-four officials from Osun State, embarked on a seven-day cultural, diplomatic, and economic engagement across California.

The visit featured strategic meetings with government officials, city mayors, business executives, educational institutions, entertainment leaders, and community organizations, showcasing Yoruba culture while promoting investment, tourism, and international partnerships.

As part of the historic tour, Adegoke and Akeni organized one of the largest Yoruba cultural galas ever held in the United States. The grand celebration united Yoruba sons and daughters from all 50 American states for an evening of cultural pride, traditional performances, networking, and a historic address delivered by the Ooni of Ife.

Their collaboration also extended into Nigeria's political space during the 2023 Osun State governorship election. Prior to the election of Governor Ademola Adeleke, the duo organized a high-profile town hall meeting and an executive dinner in Hollywood, bringing together respected community leaders, business executives, professionals, and Hollywood personalities to discuss the governor's vision and encourage greater diaspora engagement in Nigeria's democratic process.

Building on these experiences, Michael Adegoke and Hon. Daniel Akeni say their renewed alliance is designed to mobilize Nigerians across the diaspora, encourage civic participation, and strengthen international support networks in alignment with the political aspirations of Atiku Abubakar and Alagbe Eleniyan.

Political observers believe the partnership reflects the growing influence of the Nigerian diaspora in shaping public discourse, expanding political engagement, and contributing to national conversations through international advocacy, strategic partnerships, and community mobilization.

As preparations for the 2027 political cycle gather momentum, the alliance between Michael Adegoke and Hon. Daniel Akeni is expected to remain one of the notable diaspora-driven collaborations aimed at connecting Nigerians abroad with the country's evolving democratic process.
