STOP MISLEADING CAMPAIGN MATERIALS CIRCULATING IN OYO STATE ADC — SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT

The Directorate of Diaspora Affairs of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has noted with concern the circulation of misleading campaign materials and unauthorized graphics relating to the party's governorship ticket in Oyo State.

For the avoidance of doubt, Gbemileke Alagbe, popularly known as "Eleniyan," duly emerged as the winner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship primary election in Oyo State and is the party's legitimate governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.

Candidate Votes Polled Gbemileke Alagbe (Eleniyan) 15,616 (Winner) Niyi Aborisade 4,307 Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke 987 Azeez Adeduntan 500 Oyebisi Luqmon Ilaka 90

These results were officially announced by Harrison Akpojaro, Chairman of the Oyo State ADC Primary Elections Committee, and remain the authentic and recognized outcome of the governorship primary.

In light of these officially certified results, we call on those responsible for producing and circulating deceptive campaign materials to desist immediately. The success of our great party depends on truth, discipline, unity, and respect for due process—not misinformation or actions capable of creating unnecessary division.

The Directorate of Diaspora Affairs congratulates Gbemileke Alagbe (Eleniyan) on his well-deserved victory and calls on all ADC members in Oyo State, across Nigeria, and throughout the diaspora to unite behind our flagbearer as we collectively work towards delivering victory for the African Democratic Congress in 2027.
